About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Software Product Testing Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products by designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies.
You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve issues throughout the product development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:
Test Strategy and Planning: Develop, document, and implement test strategies, plans, and cases to ensure product quality and alignment with business requirements.
Manual Testing: Conduct thorough manual testing to identify bugs, usability issues, and performance bottlenecks in software products.
Automation Testing: Design and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks.
Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure product updates do not introduce new issues.
Defect Reporting: Identify, log, and track defects using tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar platforms, ensuring timely resolution.
Performance and Load Testing: Evaluate software performance under various conditions using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to understand system functionality and provide feedback to improve software design and user experience.
Test Environment Management: Set up and maintain test environments to simulate real-world scenarios effectively.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for test plans, cases, and reports.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (e.g., Black Box, White Box, Functional, Non-Functional).
Hands-on experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.
Proficiency in test case management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
Basic programming knowledge in languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript for creating automated test scripts.
Experience with version control systems like Git.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes.
Experience:
3–5 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related role.
Experience in testing web-based applications, APIs, and mobile applications.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and how testing integrates into development workflows.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
